My general thoughts:
" in every universe, it's you for me.
even if it's not me for you."

~ this book feels like she reached into my mind and pulled out my deepest emotions. Her portrayal of adult life is so relatable that it almost feels like she's describing my own experiences. The book's title might be misleading, as it didn't make me happy but rather left me feeling emotionally shattered. The story dives into love, loss grief, trauma, and the complexities of relationships, making it both melancholy and deeply resonant.

" before i even see him, my heart starts
singing its favorite song. you, you, you"

~who knew a book called 'Happy Place'  would be such an emotional rollercoaster? I'm clearly the one who fell for it. This book is soul-crushing and heart-wrenching, and the flashback perspectives only make it worse. Reading about their sweet beginnings just to be hit with heartbreak in the present is brutal. Emily Henry really knows how to tear your heart apart.

" he reaches over my shoulder and shuts the door himself. his hand stays there, to the left of my head"

~ this is my breaking point. Emily Henry had left me heartbroken, and I need someone to mend my shattered heart. how am I supposed to move on from Wyn and Harriet? i crave their love, respect, and passion- everything they share. i stayed up way past bedtime, unable to put the book down because of how emotional it was and how much i needed. closure. Do I love or hate the feeling? it's hard to say, but i couldn't stop reading it.
